Welcome Back! Covid-19 Update

Category: Blog Written by Hits: 2973

As of May 4, 2020, all Covid-19 executive orders and mandates for dental offices in the State of Florida have been lifted. What does this mean for you? It means that our office can resume normal operations performing routine and elective dental procedures. As you know, infection control has always been a top priority in our office and due to the recent pandemic, we have increased our standards and protocols for the highest protection level for our patients and staff. Listed below are the safety measures that have been implemented in our office to ensure a safe environment for all.

  • Pre-screening of patients upon confirmation of appointments as well as screening upon arrival to the office including temperature checks
  • Staggered appointments to limit the number of patients in the office at one time
  • Only patients will be allowed in the office. We ask family members to wait downstairs.
  • All non-essential items such as reading material and pamphlets have been removed from the reception room for infection control
  • Hand sanitizer will be available in the waiting room and at the front desk
  • Regular sanitation of all counters, pens, door handles, and other areas of concern.
  • Proper PPE’s including face shields, surgical masks, isolation gowns, hair coverings, and gloves will be worn by Doctor, assistants, and Hygienist. The front desk staff will also be wearing surgical masks.
  • Ozonated water, which has virus killing properties, will be used as irrigation during all dental procedures and all patients will be asked to rinse with it prior to starting treatment.
  • Negative Ion generators will be on in the office daily and a Dental Hepa vaccum will be used during high aerosol procedures.

We look forward to seeing everybody again and are happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have about the steps we are taking to keep our patients safe. We value your trust and loyalty and are ready to welcome our patients back. You can contact the office at (954)792-6266 to schedule your next appointment.

Sincerely,

Aurel Chebanu, DMD, PhD and Staff
